Vegan & Vegetarian
Whilst a vegan diet is excellent for many reasons, there are a number of nutrients that vegans tend to be lacking, as they are unlikely to be in their diet. Vegan diets can be short of Vitamin B12, Calcium, Iron, and Zinc. Vitamin D, calcium and Iodine may also be short with a vegan diet. Whilst a vegetarian diet has much scientific evidence to show it can promote good health and helps to boost the immune system and reduce diseases, there are a number of nutrients that vegetarians would benefit from to support their health. Vegetarians may be more prone to Vitamin B12 deficiency.
